About the founder
Known as the neighborhood’s unofficial “Kool-Aid mom,” Brandie loves a house full of laughter, sticky-handed visitors, and the everyday adventures of her three children. When she’s not cheering at baseball games or watching horse riding lessons, Brandie reads, crafts words, and helps other writers. Her time studying at the Colson Center for Christian Worldview deepened her understanding of God’s story and her place in it. This ignited a passion to encourage and inspire others through writing which led her to found The Writing Room. As an award-winning author, Brandie’s published work includes her children’s book Garden Tales: A Seed’s Story and articles written for various organizations. She has served as President of the Word Weavers chapter in Charlotte, NC, and is an active member of several writing organizations. Brandie finds joy in the Carolinas among cherished family, beautiful beaches, and majestic mountains.
